The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a proposal to remove 72 chemicals from its list of substances approved for use as inert ingredients in pesticide products. Many of the inert ingredients the EPA proposes to for remove have been identified as hazardous to humans or the environment, and none are used in current pesticide production. The public may submit written comments on the proposed changes through November 21, reports Environmental Leader. For a complete listing of the 72 substances proposed for removal visit www.regulations.gov.
